Our Story

It was my brother Dovi's idea. One day he said "Hey Levi, remember that feeling of wrapping yourself in a towel after your bath? As a kid, towels fit and felt so much better than they do now".

It's the type of thing you didn't even REALIZE you were missing, until someone makes you aware.

I understood the concept and immediately, I wanted to buy a giant towel. Only to our surprise, after scouring the internet, nobody sells giant towels!

So, we decided to make our own. We bought and cut a couple yards of wholesale towel fabric to our liking, and brought the two giant towels to a local tailor to stitch it up for us. It was a hit! The giant towels we made for ourselves felt so fricking luxurious that we used them every day for years.

Below is an image from 2019 of me and Dovi just after unboxing the uncut towel fabric. When we first unboxed it and wrapped up, my younger brother Roni started whacking us with a pillow while we were totally helpless lol. 

Fast forward to the summer of 2024, I realized that this concept of an oversized towel, even though it is so simple, it really is awesome. I felt pulled to bring this concept to life so that others out there could once again experience the feeling of wrapping up head to toe in towel.

But starting a business is not easy! I was 22 and didn't even know how or where to start. But I started anyway. First thing I did, was hunt for the manufacturer of our personal giant towels. Very quickly I hit a roadblock. Fabrics.com, where we originally bought our towel fabric from, had closed! "Screw it" I thought. It can't be that hard to find someone to make a couple giant towels right? 

HA! I spent months contacting and sending/receiving towel samples to and from countries all over the world, and the towels sucked! They all felt cheap, heavy, and toxic. I decided to do some more digging into fabrics.com and who supplied them. Thank the lord, I managed to get in contact with the original manufacturer! It felt amazing. 

They were super professional, and sent me a sample immediately. Bingo! It really was the original manufacturer. I had found the OG Giant Towel! Perfect size, perfect height, perfect quality. I was ecstatic until I realized, this was the easy part 😭! I needed thousands of dollars to manufacture the Giant Towel. You can't just buy one at a time, or even 50! You need to buy hundreds at a time.

I was bummed out, but I did not give up. I saved up money and thought about my next steps. In 2025 I started up a local service based business: headlightcleaners.com which helped me understand part of what it takes to create and run a business. It is stressful, and there are no guarantees, but it can be rewarding at the same time.

Going into Q4 2025, I am ready. I have the support, resources, skills and determination to make Giant Towels a reality. All there is left to find out is, are there other people out here who want an oversized towel? I need to know before I dump all my money into this dream lol.
